Lauren Cohan (born November 30, 1982) is an American actress. Her best known role to date is that of the role of Bela Talbot on Supernatural. Lauren was born in Philadelphia and lived in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey during her childhood before moving to the United Kingdom. Lauren's British born mother converted to Judaism subsequent to marrying her stepfather. Lauren was thus raised in the faith, but she does not consider herself religious today. Lauren graduated from the University of Winchester / King Alfred's College where she studied Drama and English Literature, before touring with a theatre company she co-founded at the University.
