Lucky & Elizabeth

Lucas Lorenzo "Lucky" Spencer, Jr. and Elizabeth Imogene Webber (commonly known as L&L or L&L2) are fictional characters from the original ABC Daytime soap opera, General Hospital and a supercouple. Lucky, the son of the most iconic supercouple in the soap genre, Luke and Laura (Anthony Geary and Genie Francis), is currently portrayed by Jonathan Jackson and Elizabeth, the granddaughter of one of the show's original characters, Steve Hardy (John Beradino), is currently portrayed by Rebecca Herbst. They were the soap's first teen supercouple, with both characters now being adults.

The role of Lucky was originated on October 29, 1993 by Jackson who portrayed the character until May 24, 1999. Jackson's exit was at the height of the duo's popularity as a young supercouple. The role was then played by Jacob Young from February 25, 2000 to February 10, 2003. In 2000, Young also guest starred on the sketch comedy series MADtv, making a small cameo as the character. Greg Vaughan stepped into the role on February 20, 2003. After almost seven years with the show, Vaughan was let go to allow for Jackson to reprise the role for the first time in over ten years. Vaughan last aired on October 20, 2009, while Jackson first aired on October 27, 2009. Jacob Young earned the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in 2002 for his portrayal of Lucky. Jonathan Jackson won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actor in 1995, 1998 and 1999, he also won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2011 & 2012.

Elizabeth has been portrayed by actress Rebecca Herbst since August 1, 1997. In 1999, the role earned Herbst the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actress, as well as an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in 1999 and a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2007. On January 18, 2011, ABC Daytime announced that Herbst had been let go from General Hospital and her exit would be storyline dictated. Herbst along with many of her co-stars were shocked and devastated at the news of her impending exit. After much fan protest, a month after the original announcement, ABC released another statement saying that Herbst would retain her role on the show. Since then she has been again nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2012.

The couple's official theme song is "Where You Are" by Rie Sinclair. The song is first featured on General Hospital in fall of 2005 for Lucky and Elizabeth's wedding.
